  • Subasio (name subject to approval, pre-commercial code SVAC3332) is a new Autumn cauliflower variety maturing in 105-120 days. The plants are upright and vigorous which gives good curd cover. The curd is white, solid, high domed and with good weight. It is suitable for both fresh and processing markets.

BRITEX

  • BRITEX* is a new variety in the Curdivex range of cauliflowers maturing slightly later than Whitex (+2days). Britex produces dense, solid white curds suitable for fresh market in UK and Poland while also having the ability to cover the UK XL market (16 cm). Curd and floret quality in Britex is really nice with no issues with bracting/fuzziness etc and it also seems to be stronger against splitting and pinking compared to Fortaleza. Britex is best suited to early summer and early autumn harvest. Breeder's Reference SVAC7133*Subject to approval

IVEX

Maturity Group Early
  • Ivex is our latest Curdivex® variety to introduce to the market. Ivex matures approximately 2 days later than Freedom. It gives excellent continuity in early summer when used with SV5777AC and Whitex from October sowings in the UK/Ireland and from February sowings in North West Europe as a whole. Ivex has a short growth cycle and has vernalised well in hot conditions in trials to date. It produces good quality white curds and is easy to harvest fitting perfectly in our portfolio for the UK, Irish, German, Polish and Scandinavian markets.

SVAC5982

Maturity Group Medium-Late
  • SV5982AC is a 130-140 day cauliflower. SV5982AC has a tall frame with an erect plant habit and leaves which are tightly wrapped against the curd. SV5982AC is easy to bag and has a fluted leaf wrap which provides additional protection to the curd. SV5982AC gives good harvest continuity when programmed with SV5965AC and Sassolungo.

SV5777AC

Maturity Group Early
  • SV5777AC is a second early cauliflower. The variety has a healthy erect plant habit with strong vigour. SV5777AC has excellent curd cover with a tightly wrapped jacket. This variety produces high domed curds with a healthy base. SV5777AC matures very uniformly and produces heavy and compact heads.

CARDEX

Maturity Group Medium-Late
  • Cardex is a Curdivex variety and has maturity of Fortaleza +3 days. It is a healthy plant with strong plant vigour and high curd quality. Cardex has a wide harvest window from June to October. It is uniform to mature producing well wrapped curds.

GIEWONT

Maturity Group Medium-Late
  • Giewont is a main season cauliflower suitable for summer and early autumn production. The solid, bright curds make this variety suitable for both fresh and processing markets. Giewont has smooth curds, with excellent curd cover. This well wrapped cauliflower has an excellent colour and produces solid, dense florets. With Giewont, a condensed harvest is possible. It has a high percentage of usable florets during processing and reduced loss as crumb.

WHITEX

  • Whitex is part of our new Curdivex® range of cauliflower which all have a white curd, a diverse set of new genetics in our pipeline and the ability to give the grower a more flexible harvest window. Whitex has a vigorous and upright plant habit and produces a bright, white curd which is easy to see when mature. This easy to see curd helps with making harvest more efficient. Whitex also has a good shelf life with the curd staying whiter for longer when compared to our current portfolio.

FORTALEZA

  • Fortaleza matures approximately 75-80 days. Fortaleza has an upright plant habit with strong plant health and produces curds that are deep, firm and white. Fortaleza has the potential to be used for both fresh market and processing. It works well when used in conjunction with Whitex, SV5818AC and Giewont giving good continuity of supply through the summer season.

CARANTIC

Maturity Group Very Late
  • Carantic is an overwintering Roscoff type which matures from early February. This variety has a large, waxy leaf giving excellent protection from winter weather conditions. Carantic provides growers with a well wrapped solid curd with excellent presentation. The main features of Carantic are its robust plant habit and also its curd presentation which can add to consumer appeal.

AQUATA

Maturity Group Medium
  • Aquata is an excellent early autumn cauliflower variety maturing in 110 to 120 days. This cauliflower variety has a very consistent maturity cycle, while also providing a high yield. Aquata has an erect and compact plant type producing deep, dense, white curds which are very easy to harvest and bag resulting in a quicker harvest. A consistent maturity cycle gives reliability of harvesting schedules even under stressful growing conditions or on poorer soils.

SV5818AC

Maturity Group Medium
  • SV5818AC is a main season cauliflower variety with excellent curd cover. The curd is solid, deep and domed and the plant is erect and very strong. SV5818AC matures between Fortaleza and Giewont in approximately 80 to 85 days. SV5818AC can be used for both fresh market and processing. The dense curd made up of solid florets means it has had high yield potential in our processing trials so far. SV5818AC has also performed well from overwinter as well as spring sowings in the UK, being more suited to smaller cell sizes and uncovered cropping.

ABENI

  • Abeni is the benchmark for earliness and quality. It is the standard second early cauliflower for planting under plastic/fleece or as an early open crop. Abeni matures just after our first early variety Momentum. Abeni has a vigorous, upright growth habit and produces solid, white curds.

MOMENTUM

Maturity Group Early
  • Momentum is a first early cauliflower. It is one of the earliest maturing hybrid cauliflower varieties on the market. Momentum is best suited to larger cell/pot sizes and plastic covered cropping. It has a concentrated maturity giving quick and efficient harvest.

GIEFLOR

  • Autumn variety approximately 5-7 days later than Giewont with improved plant health. Gieflor has an erect plant habit, uniform maturity and a clean, healthy base. Gieflor produces a well covered head which allows it to grow to larger sizes for the processing industry. When mature it is quick and easy to harvest. Suitable for autumn production for fresh market and processing.

SV5965AC

  • SV5965AC is a late Autumn cauliflower which has a stable maturity cycle of 120-130 days from transplanting. SV5965AC has a very erect plant type allowing for easier harvest. There is sufficient curd cover to allow good curd protection from weather and environmental aspects but not slowing down the harvesting process. It is very adaptable and has good vigour so that in difficult growing conditions it can deliver marketable curds and it adapts very well to changing autumn climates.

  • Sassolungo is a late autumn cauliflower for harvest from late November to early December. Sassolungo matures uniformly and produces excellent quality solid curds which can be grown for XL cauliflowers for the UK fresh market.

  • SV5697AC is an addition to our winter cauliflower portfolio for harvest in January. With its large bright green leaves tightly surrounding the curd, a high quality marketable product is achieved. From internal and external trials SV5697AC has produced a large solid frame with strong growth and healthy foliage which are beneficial when maturing at this difficult part of the growing season.
