Curdivex

Ivex is our latest Curdivex® variety to introduce to the market. Ivex matures approximately 2 days later than Freedom. It gives excellent continuity in early summer when used with SV5777AC and Whitex from October sowings in the UK/Ireland and from February sowings in North West Europe as a whole. Ivex has a short growth cycle and has vernalised well in hot conditions in trials to date. It produces good quality white curds and is easy to harvest fitting perfectly in our portfolio for the UK, Irish, German, Polish and Scandinavian markets.

Agronomic Tips

  • Suitable for October sowings in the UK and Ireland. Performs well from 126, 216 and 345 cell sizes. Can be covered or left uncovered from early plantings. Consistent performer and works well with SV5777AC and Whitex from October sowings in the UK and Ireland. Can be programmed through the summer with Whitex and Fortaleza giving good continuity. Approximately 3 days between each of the varieties – Ivex --- Whitex 3 days later --- Fortaleza 3 days later again.
