Maximinus is an excellent green to red bell pepper for the Southeast U.S. fresh market. Sometimes grown and harvested at green color due to it's high yields and outstanding fruit quality, Maximinus is early and fast to turn red, also making this a popular hybrid for red bell pepper production in the open field. This variety has a strong plant, X5R® bacterial spot resistance, and a semi-concentrated fruit set.
