The sky is the limit with High Rise™ broccoli stems. This is just one of the innovative opportunities from the High Rise portfolio, a brassica series that provides consumer appeal, innovative culinary applications, and helps growers achieve efficient harvests through less harvest passes.
The High Rise broccoli is a series of Seminis® Vegetable Seeds varieties known for their ease of harvest due to their tall, upright plant structure with a strong, clean stem and a visible, firm, and heavy crown.

One of the standout features of High Rise Broccoli is that their stems are as delicious and with similar nutritious values as the florets. They are long and crunchy, packed with essential vitamins and minerals, making them fantastic additions to any menu.
With stems you can create a variety of dishes and snacks! The High Rise broccoli stem can be enjoyed raw after removing the outer skin, but be sure to wash and clean it thoroughly before use. The tender center is wonderfully sweet and snackable. You can serve it as is, steam it, or sauté it for a delightful addition to your meals.

Our collaboration has led to the development of a broccoli stem chip, a tasty and sustainable snack made from long-stemmed broccoli varieties developed by Bayer. This innovation transforms typically discarded broccoli stems into a nutritious, snappable snack, minimizing food waste while offering a new way to enjoy broccoli.
