tobrfv-ir-resistance

For growers that appreciated the high yield potential of large, glossy, FULLRED fruits of the De Ruiter® brand truss tomato Grandice, Grandice RES is a conversion featuring multi-gene intermediate resistance to ToBRFV and anticipated intermediate resistance to Powdery mildew.

  • Multi-gene intermediate resistance to ToBRFV

Features

  • Compact balanced plant
  • Average fruit weight of 170-190 grams
  • High-quality fruits
  • Suitable for year-round and lit crop cycles
  • Demonstrated good shelf-life

Advantages

  • Strong plant vigor
  • High yield potential
  • Uniform, glossy fruits on a jointless truss
  • FULLRED internal color
  • Ability to maintain consistent fruit size during summer production

Agronomic Tips

  • Suitable for year-round crop and lit crop. The standard planting density of 2.8-3.2 heads/m2 is appropriate. Grafting onto a superior rootstock is recommended. Strong plant vigor requires generative steering. We anticipate the growing practices for the De Ruiter brand tomato Grandice to be applicable for Grandice RES. Flag leaves are suggested during the summer heat.
