- SV1002BL is hugely beneficial to growers programs due to its ability to produce heavy crowns suitable for both fresh market and processing industries. This variety produces a high domed crown with a medium sized bead. SV1002BL is more uniform to mature compared to current market standards meaning that harvest efficiency can be improved with this variety. SV1002BL matures between Ironman and Steel

- Spinnaker is a new variety in our portfolio with the potential to replace Ironman for Autumn harvest. Spinnaker is very uniform to mature, very easy to harvest and has good tolerance to hollow stem, crown rot and systemic downy mildew. This variety has outperformed Ironman as regards yield potential for Autumn harvest and also has finer beads, less bracting and a greener head colour.

- Sibsey is a stem broccoli that is prized for its small compact heads which have a tender and sweet stem. It has a dark green stem with fine beaded mini broccoli head. Sibsey is part of our Bellaverde broccoli range. Sibsey is a multi-harvest variety which produces harvestable side shoots approximately 7-10 days after the main head is removed.

PENNYBRIDGE
- Pennybridge is a Bellaverde® stem broccoli with good eating qualities and a rich green coloured head. It has a slightly longer and cleaner stem than Sibsey and a greener and firmer head. Pennybridge offers more flexibility due to improved yield potential and field holding. With its tight small florets, medium sized bead structure and long smooth “spear like” stems, this stem broccoli has few small edible leaves.

- Skytree is an 'easy floret’ variety with a segmented head allowing for easier preparation. It is a novel addition to our Seminis broccoli portfolio. Skytree is part of our ‘Easy Floret’ range which benefits both grower and consumer due to its easy harvest and easy preparation. It matures approximately 5 days earlier than Ironman, has less yellow halo on the florets and has a sweeter stem than traditional broccoli varieties. Skytree has great potential to be mechanically harvested due to the reduced number of leaves and its excellent harvest uniformity.

- Titanium - benefiting the grower by giving improved field holding, increased head-weight and improved shelf life. This variety has a fine bead size with heavy dense florets. Harvest efficiencies are improved with the use of this variety due to reduced number of leaves to remove and increased harvest uniformity. Titanium matures at a similar timing to our current market standard Ironman.

- Shard is an easy to harvest variety which produces heavy, dense heads. It matures at a similar timing to Ironman and has better field holding. Shard produces dark green, firm heads with a fine bead and has very uniform maturity. Shard is best suited to Autumn production.

- Ironman is the market standard for broccoli in North West Europe. It is a reliable variety due to its outstanding consistency and quality. Ironman is faster to harvest compared to competitor varieties in the market due to less leaves to remove on the stem. Ironman gives a high percentage of usable end product.

- Steel is a very uniform variety with a domed shaped head and a fine bead that produces high quality crowns. This variety matures approximately 7 to 10 days later than Ironman giving good continuity of supply when programmed together. This variety is known for its solid crown giving high yield potential from a smaller, compact head.

- Autumn variety suitable for both fresh market and processing with ability to machine harvest. Matures approx. 2-3 days earlier than Andersia. Taipei (SVBL0306) has excellent head quality and will enter our portfolio to run alongside our Autumn HighRise® portfolio of Titanium and Andersia for the processing market. Taipei produces high quality small florets with good bead uniformity. Taipei has the potential to be machine harvested.

CRUCIBLE
- SVBL0300 is a summer variety with improved heat tolerance, head quality and yield potential compared to our current summer portfolio. SVBL0300 has been a consistent performer over the last 4 years trials and matures between our current commercial varieties Ironman and SV1002BL. SVBL0300 has good colour with uniform, medium to fine beads. Its heads are solid and domed and it has good field holding. SVBL0300 also benefits from having improved hollow stem tolerance when compared to Ironman.

- Andersia is a raised head broccoli variety with excellent head weights, field holding and quality that matures at a similar timing to our current commercial variety Steel. Andersia is part of our High-Rise range of broccoli which have the potential to be machine harvested. Machine harvest is an option with this variety due to its uniform maturity and the positioning of the head which is high in the crop canopy.
