Seminis Brassica Innovation Day 2017

Our UK Brassica Innovation Day held on October 11th and 12th was once again a huge success and lead to many fruitful and interesting discussions in the field.

The two day event was attended by over 200 UK and international growers with people attending from countries such as Norway, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Czech Republic and Ireland. We had many of our new innovations and also our current brassica portfolio on show in the field. Varieties of note from our commercial portfolio were broccolis SV1002BL and Titanium and summer cauliflower SV5818AC. Growers were also particularly interested in our new cauliflower innovation called Curdivex – these are cauliflowers which stay bright and white and are also easier to harvest.

During the event we also had a prize draw to win a weekend away in the UK – congratulations to our winner Mr. John Overvoorde from Delfland Nurseries Ltd., we hope you enjoy your break in the new year. Second prize of an iPad went to Mr. Mark Pryor from Cornwall and third prize of a Seminis jacket went to Mr. Chris Bollard from Goldcrop Ltd in Ireland.
