SV7030NS is an early Short Day onion which gives to the targeted OP onion growers better product quality with improved colour and uniformity versus our OP and F1 competition and provides more marketable yield than our older assortment with its better grading . Its positioning within Seminis range is to complement of XP-RED (Jambar), and a replacement of CEYLON.The vigor of the variety is moderate which reduces the percentage of large size bulbs. XP red has high vigor and gives a higher percentage of large sized bulbs which have a lower demand in the market place. The variety has an intense red external color and a nice red pigmented internal color. XP red has a lighter red external color and a white internal color. Variety produces medium large uniform shaped bulbs with excellent skin and internal colour.
- The vigor SV7030NS is moderate which reduces the percentage of large size bulbs and increasing medium size bulbs as per market needs.

Agronomic Tips
- The variety will be positioned in the same early segment as XP red. Sometimes tendency to lower gross yield than competitors (average difference is not significant) Higher nutrition target for key nutrients should be adopted to ensure Higher yield are achieved Use of protective fungicides for management of foliar diseases is recommended. Use of drip irrigation and reduction of overhead irrigation is recommended to avoid diseases. Irrigation in morning hours recommended for overhead and pivot irrigation systems to reduce moisture. Maintain proper spacing to achieve optimum performance and reduce diseases incidences
