Rio de Oro is a Santa Fe style pepper that produces conical shaped fruit with limited heat. Flavour is not sweet but more a pungent peppery flavour Fruit can be harvested when fruit colour is yellow, orange or red. Depending on the colour of harvest the flavour profiles are different. Suitable to outdoor production in most seasons, the plant is robust with the ability to produce high volumes of fruit.
