What is your role at Monsanto?
I am the Regional Business Manager for the Vegetable division in NSW and SA.
Tell us a bit about your background.
I was born in a beautiful city in the North East of Italy where my family still lives. I lived in the Netherlands for 9 years and then moved to Australia in 2011 .
Like every epic love story, I approached the agricultural industry 11 years ago, almost by chance, and my love for it just keeps growing.
What is it you like about working in the vegetable industry?
The vegetable industry is a fascinating combination of grounding values and principles with technology and innovation. It is challenging, complex and forever changing and improving environment.
What do you like doing in your spare time?
I love traveling, for business or pleasure, I enjoy seeing new places, meeting new people and the enrichment offered by the experience. I particularly like the beaches, in every season or weather.
I also love dancing and the simple important things such as the company of good friends and family while enjoying some good food.
What is your favourite vegetable, and why?
Tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes…
I love the taste, they are easy to clean and to cook, they are versatile and add taste to almost every dish. To me they also “talk” about my country, my family, they bring back memories, it feels a bit like going back home.
