Steel is a very uniform variety with a domed shaped head and a fine bead that produces high quality crowns. This variety matures approximately 7 to 10 days later than Ironman giving good continuity of supply when programmed together. This variety is known for its solid crown giving high yield potential from a smaller, compact head.
